| Prof. Richard Rantilla |
| Richard Rantilla teaches Quality and Metrics courses in the Lean Manufacturing Curriculum at the Kettering University Graduate School and leads his own consulting company, Just-Improvement. Prior teaching experience includes the Georgia Southern University Business School and National Technological University. Mr. Rantilla has worked at Electronic Data Systems and AT Kearney Consulting in a broad range of assignments in consulting, manufacturing and service sectors. He has managed many projects enhancing the business performance of clients through reconfigured and improved processes. Mr. Rantilla held various Engineering and Management assignments for General Motors Corporation at the Oldsmobile Division, Packard Electric Division, NUMMI and in Brazil. |

Mr. Rantilla has developed instructional design of courseware in a variety of specific manufacturing skills, including translation of courseware into Portuguese and assisting the late Dr. Deming in his famous Four-Day seminars on Quality. |
|
Mr. Rantilla has a Master of Science degree (MS) from Brown University, in Providence, RI, and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (BME) degree from General Motors Institute in Flint, Michigan, where he was elected into the Alpha Tau Iota engineering honor society. |

Mr. Rantilla is a Senior Member and past director of the local chapter of the American Society for Quality and frequently presents papers, especially on Quality in Education. |

Mr. Rantilla published the white paper, "Goals and Objectives: the Employee’s View". |
|
Mr. Rantilla received the General Motors Outstanding Distance Learning Faculty Award in 2003. |
