An open enrollment program on Labor Laws and Statutory Obligations was conducted on Thursday September 28, 2006. The program was notable for the spontaneous response it received from the corporate world. 30 Executives from as many industries participated. |

The lead faculty, Prof. PREMANAND SHETTY dwelt lucidly on the statutory obligations of employers and managers. He quoted extensively from case laws and dispelled many popular myths. In today’s knowledge economy, it is surprising how managers are not aware of their obligations. |
|
The response from the participants was highly encouraging. One common refrain was that for such an extensive program, a one-day program was too short. |
|
The feedback has been taken note of and the next time around, the program will be held over two days. |
