SOMASHEKAR V is an engineer with post-graduate degrees in production and industrial engineering, a doctoral degree in production engineering and a doctor of science degree for original contributions in the area of value engineering.
Dr SOMASHEKAR started his career as a Plant Engineer and went on to become the Vice-President of a Multi-National-Enterprise. He pioneered the development of packaging machinery for improving the shelf life of food products. He entered academia in 1998 and has been acknowledged as an authority in the area of operations and quality management.
Dr SOMASHEKAR has published over 300 papers in scholarly journals and has attended over 25 international conferences for presenting papers or chairing technical sessions.
