He is also the ASI Distinguished Professor of Strategy and International Business.
A graduate in electrical engineering, followed by post-graduation in industrial management,
systems engineering, and business administration,
a doctoral degree in the area of competitive strategy and a Sloan Fellowship,
Baragur has made a seamless transition from a corporate career spanning 25 years to
academia, spearheading the relentless quest for excellence and the building of
a world-class institution.
Baragur is a rare combination of outstanding teacher, brilliant strategist and a role model for young people.
Among the honors that have come Baragur’s way, mention may be made of the Presidential
Medal for Academic Performance, the Board of Governors’ Medal for Exemplary Leadership,
and Dean’s Medal for Best Thesis.
Baragur is a Consultant to many corporations and a visiting professor at institutions in the USA,
France, Switzerland and Russia. He is also the Managing Editor
of ALLIANCE JOURNAL OF BUSINESS RESEARCH.
