Dr KISHAN RAO is a graduate in commerce and in law and a post-graduate in commerce. He has a doctoral degree from Karnataka University, Dharwad.

Dr RAO has had extensive practical experience in the area of finance, first with the Andhra Pradesh Financial Corporation and then with The Vysya Bank Limited, Bangalore.

Dr RAO has an equally rich experience in academia first with Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, and later with Southern India Banks’ Staff Training College, Bangalore.

Dr RAO has numerous scholarly publications to his credit.
