Change is inevitable and Information Technology is a significant and dynamic part of such a change. The most exciting aspect of an MCA program is to develop professionals who will ensure an organization's success within a changing environment. The MCA program is designed to enable students develop fundamental concepts, models, and theories to support applications of Computers and Information Technology. The program will also emphasize the state of the art practices and trends in computer applications and its tools and methods by addressing organizational, technological and cognitive aspects of the application of computer-aided innovation methods and tools.

This program is affiliated to Bangalore University; Approved by AICTE, New Delhi; and certified under ISO 9001:2000.
 
  The MCA Program aims to develop skills, abilities and knowledge to enable graduates
  to:
(1) Interact with real-life situations and to build systems which can be efficiently processed on
     computers.
(2) Take up positions in systems management and project management in leading IT
     corporations.

  Requirements for Admission
Candidates seeking admission to the MCA program should have passed Bachelor's degree examination of any recognized Indian University or equivalent as recognized by AIU (Association of Indian Universities) in any discipline, and should have secured at least an aggregate of 50% in all subjects including languages (45% for SC/ST) with Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Applications / Computer Science / Electronics as a subject at PU level or equivalent HSC (XII Standard) or at degree level. Further, the minimum qualification shall be as per Government Norms in the case of Common Entrance Test.

Project Work

MCA students will have to undertake a major project with an organization in their final semester. Our Placement Office will assist students in finding a suitable company - based project.
